The train driver's licence shall be issued for a period of 10 years.<\/li>\n<li>The detailed procedure is laid down in the 'Train driver's licence' guidance document.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-7373-0-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_ducr-separator\" data-index=\"1\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-ducr-separator so-widget-ducr-separator-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><hr class=\"gov-content-block__separator\" ><\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-7373-0-0-2\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_ducr-titleandtext\" data-index=\"2\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-ducr-titleandtext so-widget-ducr-titleandtext-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h2 id=\"sowtit-extension-of-a-train-drivers-licence\">Extension of a train driver's licence<\/h2><div class=\"ducr__text\"><ul>\n<li>The train driver's licence may be extended only if the applicant meets the conditions of Sections 46 and 46d of the Railways Act.
